1.8.3 upgrade from previous version
When updating from an older version of Orkestra to 1.8.3 , the installer is not always able to cleanly uninstall the previous version before installing the new one.
We strongly encourage everyone to use 1.8.3 as it is the most developed, up to date and stable version of Orkestra. Here are the steps to follow if the upgrade doesn't go well:
1. Uninstall any version of Orkestra you have
You can use the windos add/remove program te delete any version of Orkestra.
2. Make sure all Orkestra locations are cleaned up
This is a precautinary step, as most times the uninstall is enough. However, we've had some cases of files remaining after uninstall. The locations to check are :
%programfiles%\orkestra : if there is anythign left here, you can simply delete it
%programdata%\autodesk\revit\addins\<version> : make sure that there is no OrkestraAddin.addin file at this location for the version of Revit you are working on
3. Install Orkestra 1.8.3
